Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a Senior Finance Associate (Private Debt). Summary: This role manages financial reporting and accounting for a prominent, Boston-based private credit manager. As a key contributor, you will oversee compliance and control processes for several private debt funds investing in sponsor-backed middle-market companies. You will work closely with Investor Relations, CLO, FP&A, Tax, and Deal teams. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, fund returns, and investor deliverables; Draft quarterly MD&A reports for senior management
  • Fund Operations: Coordinate capital calls and distributions, manage daily cash, and perform bank reconciliations; Track portfolio investments and interest receipts
  • Oversight: Review third-party fund administrator work; Lead year-end audits with external auditors
  • Cross-Functional Support: Partner with Investor Relations on fundraising materials and investor requests (performance, fees); Assist Tax team with quarterly estimates and year-end allocations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA
  • 3-5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally with a mix of public accounting and alternative investment asset management
  • Hands-on experience with fund accounting and GAAP financial reporting, including preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Experience supporting private debt, private equity, credit, hedge, or other alternative investment funds
  • Exposure to capital calls, distributions, cash management, reconciliations, investor reporting, and audit coordination
  • Technical Skills: Advanced GAAP financial reporting experience and expert knowledge of MS Excel
  • Execution: Detail-oriented with a consistent record of meeting tight deadlines with high-quality work
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills to interact with senior leadership; Strong organizational and leadership potential
  • Drive: Self-starter comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
