WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Represent lenders, borrowers, and corporate clients in commercial finance transactions
- Draft, negotiate, and review credit agreements, security agreements, loan documents, and related financing instruments
- Advise clients on secured lending transactions and commercial finance matters
- Structure and negotiate financing aspects of mergers and acquisitions
- Perform legal due diligence for financing transactions
- Collaborate with corporate, tax, real estate, and securities attorneys
- Identify legal risks and provide practical business-focused solutions
- Manage multiple sophisticated transactions simultaneously
- Develop trusted relationships with business clients and financial institutions
- Stay current on finance laws and evolving market trends
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active admission to the New York State Bar or willingness to obtain admission
- Minimum 6 years of commercial finance law experience
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating credit and security agreements
- Strong knowledge of commercial lending transactions
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills
- Outstanding communication and client relationship abilities
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to manage sophisticated transactional matters independently
Preferred
- Experience with acquisition and M&A financing transactions
- Large or mid-sized law firm experience
- Representation of financial institutions and commercial lenders
- Experience leading complex financing transactions from inception through closing
- Writing samples are encouraged with your application and may be requested during the hiring process (required for litigation positions)

New York Salary Transparency:
Salary range: $159,000-$192,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, education, and other legitimate business factors.
Licensure Requirement:
- Active admission to the New York State Bar is required, or candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain admission.
- Attorneys relocating to New York may begin employment as a Law Clerk until admission to the New York State Bar is complete.
Billable Hours:
- Annual billable expectation is 1,800 hours.
