The Senior Staff Accountant is a key member of the finance team responsible for advanced accounting functions, financial analysis, and assisting with process improvement initiatives. This position supports organizational growth by ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and providing strategic insights to management. The Senior Staff Accountant will lead complex account reconciliations, assist with audit preparation, and mentor junior accounting staff.Essential Functions:Oversee and maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts with a highlevel of accuracy.Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses and ensure timely completion ofmonthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.Manage and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts including accountsreceivable/revenue, prepaid expenses, prepaid rent, accrued payroll and other expenses.Maintain and update fixed asset schedules, clinic buildout WIP ledgers, prepaid expenseamortization schedules, capitalized software schedules, debt and lender schedules, andproperty taxes.Assist the accounts payable function and adhere to company policies and internal controls.Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, including lender and investorreporting.Prepare documentation for external audits and support the controller with responses toinformation requests.Ensure compliance with GAAP.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex pivot tables and advanced formulas,with working knowledge of Power BI.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy withinthe accounting function.Assisting other team members and clinic leaders, as needed with ad hoc projects and creating custom reports.Ability to work in-office with predictable, reliable, and prompt attendance and ability toconcentrate, multi-task and work at a high pace while delivering results and meetingexpectations.The above listing is representative of the position.
