Senior Financial Accountant
About the job:
The main purpose of the role is to operate and oversee the GL activities of legal entities(s). The Senior Financial Accountant will manage complex accounting.
- Coordinate the local and US GAAP GL entries for the group of companies
- Prepare journal entries in line with US GAAP requirements and local statutory adjustments
- Provide monthly reconciliation on key and non-key accounts
- Manage non-recurring journals, ensure approvals and proper evidence
- Audit support (internally and externally)
- Support the implementation of an automated accounting tool, provide recommendations for accounting simplification projects
- Solving accounting issues
What we are looking for:
- Economics or Finance & Accounting BA/BSc degree
- 3+ years finance and accounting experience
- Experience in managing GL accounting and related SOX control
- Fluency in English & Hungarian (both written and verbal)
- Confident usage of ERP systems
- Excel skills and general IT literacy
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Developed analytical, excellent interpersonal & problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet priorities and deadlines, and to work under time pressure
Nice to have:
- Understanding of US GAAP, SOX & Control
- Other European language knowledge
