Our growing real estate development company is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our accounting team. Responsibilities

• 
  
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities for assigned real estate properties and development projects
• 
  
• Perform property-level accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash activity, and general ledger transactions
• 
  
• Prepare monthly financial statements and property-level reporting
• 
  
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances
• 
  
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for properties and development projects
• 
  
• Record and reconcile construction and development costs
• 
  
• Review property operating expenses and maintain accurate supporting documentation
• 
  
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management, investors, and other stakeholders
• 
  
• Coordinate with property management, development, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• 
  
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• 
  
• Assist with audits, tax-related requests, and other accounting projects as needed
• 
  
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 
  
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 
  
• Real estate or property accounting experience strongly preferred
• 
  
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• 
  
• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
• 
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• 
  
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with large amounts of financial data
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing organization
•
