Location: Marietta GA / Onsite
Pay Rate: $45-50 per hour
Type: Long Term Contract

Role Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide critical financial support during a high demand period, partnering closely with Finance leadership to ensure accurate close execution, strong accrual management, and insightful variance analysis. This role plays an important part in maintaining financial discipline and supporting leadership decision making through clear, well communicated analysis.

In this position, you will take ownership of monthly accruals and variance analysis, help refine close processes, and present financial insights to Director level and above leadership. The role requires strong independence, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly explain the story behind the numbers in a high visibility environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and manage monthly accruals and prepaids in accordance with GAAP
• Perform detailed variance analysis across cost, revenue, and cash flow, identifying drivers and resolving discrepancies
• Present financial findings and tell a clear story behind the data to Director and senior level management
• Support month end close activities and assist in refining and improving close processes
• Analyze large data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities using advanced Excel functionality
• Partner with Finance leadership and cross functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Proactively identify issues, ask questions, and recommend solutions in a fast paced close environment

Key Requirements
• Five or more years of experience in finance or accounting with strong exposure to accruals and variance analysis
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and corporate finance practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
• Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookup formulas, sumif, and working with large data sets
• Proven experience presenting financial analysis to senior and executive level leadership
• Experience working in a large public enterprise or complex corporate environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail and professionalism

Preferred Skills
• Experience supporting or partnering with IT Finance teams
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or IBM planning tools
