    AWS Finance seeks a world class Senior Financial Analyst to be a key leader in its revenue planning and pricing finance team supporting the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) business. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. Amazon EC2 has grown to be one of the fastest growing and most strategic suite of products in the AWS portfolio.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Partner with Amazon EC2 product and sales management leadership team to develop a strategic roadmap for pricing and revenue growth.
    • Lead pricing for new services and ongoing pricing decisions for existing services.
    • Develop plans and operational strategies for new initiatives to drive service adoption.
    • Support new service/region launches; understand cost models and drive pricing decisions.
    • Support the business P&Ls and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.
    • Manage large customer deals; develop and evaluate new pricing constructs for the service.
    • Provide deep analytics and communicate effectively to senior business team leaders.
    • Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful change.

    A day in the life

    This position will work closely with finance management as well as key business partners across the AWS organization, including product managers, engineering leaders, sales and business development leadership, internal AWS and Amazon retail teams to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the Amazon EC2 businesses.

    The position will be responsible for pricing analysis for new services and ongoing pricing decisions for existing services, driving ad-hoc business projects and analyses, and contributing to usage and revenue planning.

    This role requires a self-starter with a strong financial modeling background, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations, and solid skills in people management and thought leadership. This role requires strong people skills and has regular interaction with various AWS business units & senior leadership.
