An established manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support strategic decision-making and operational performance across the business. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights, improve reporting capabilities, support forecasting and budgeting processes, and identify opportunities to drive efficiency and profitability.

Description

  • Develop, maintain, and improve financial models related to operational costs, manufacturing performance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Identify financial risks, operational inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities through data-driven analysis.
  • Track and validate realized savings and performance improvements.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance across manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, inventory, and supply chain operations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and other departments to provide financial insights and scenario analysis.
  • Analyze sales trends, variances, and business performance metrics to support decision-making.
  • Review and analyze bills of material to ensure accurate product costing and standard cost integrity.
  • Evaluate manufacturing and operational KPIs and recommend improvements to efficiency and loss reduction.
  • Create and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics using Excel, Power BI, and other planning systems.
  • Support the transition toward more automated and real-time reporting capabilities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, controls, data quality, and financial processes.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities as needed.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and project support to finance leadership and executive management.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of financial analysis experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including large data set management, formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and analytical tools.
  • Experience with Power BI and dashboard/report development.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and product costing.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
