Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will support business performance by providing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operational insight across programs and manufacturing operations. This role will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
The Senior Financial Analyst will help improve visibility into financial performance, program costs, margins, and operational efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, manufacturing financial experience, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Analyze financial performance, including revenue, costs, margins, and profitability.
- Prepare variance analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Partner with program, operations, supply chain, and finance teams to track financial performance and cost drivers.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end financial reporting.
- Support cost control initiatives related to labor, materials, overhead, and manufacturing operations.
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across reporting systems.
- Support continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools, and analysis methods.
- Provide financial insight that helps improve operational efficiency and business performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, or related finance experience.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
- Experience with cost tracking, margin analysis, profitability analysis, and operational financial reporting.
- Strong Excel skills.
- ERP or financial systems experience preferred.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial findings clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to support data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Background
- Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, precision manufacturing, or complex engineered products.
- Experience supporting program finance, operations finance, cost accounting, or manufacturing FP&A.
- Exposure to labor, material, overhead, inventory, or margin analysis.
- Experience building financial models, reports, dashboards, or leadership presentations.
