At Disney Entertainment Television (DET) the Content Finance COE team leads financial analysis and business planning of content for all brands including ABC Entertainment, FX, Disney Kids & Family, Nat Geo, Onyx and Freeform. This roles primary focus will be in support of Disney Kids & Family and Nat Geo. The team partners with key stakeholders across the business to build the Annual Operating Plan, Long-Range Plan, and quarterly forecasts.


Seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join the Content Finance COE team. The Senior Financial Analyst will partner across departments to budget and forecast content and development expense across DET.


This role provides the opportunity to develop a deep knowledge of DET, television & production, and content finance. This position requires strong analytical skills, clear communication, excellent time management, and attention to detail.


Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:


+ Forecasting & Analysis: Support preparation of AOP, LRP, and quarterly forecasts for content amortization, development and production spend by title. Build and maintain detailed forecasting models.

+ Consolidated Reporting: Partner with Content COE finance brand leads to standardize content and development reporting across brands to drive consistency, transparency, and more informed cross-brand decision making.

+ Management Reporting: Prepare variance analysis to prior forecast, budgets, prior year and prior plans for review with leadership. Maintain a tracker of key risks & opportunities for forecasts and between forecasts cycles.

+ High-Impact Ad Hoc Reporting: Ad hoc financial support to identify trends, resolve operational issues, support executive inquiries, and enhance studio‑wide performance. Support Finance team with strategic planning and decision support.

+ Finance Transformation / AI Integration: Identify automation and technology‑enabled possibilities across development forecasting. Recommend process simplification and accuracy improvements across DET financial operations.


Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:


+ Bachelor’s Degree required; in the fields of Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred

+ 2-5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, accounting, studio finance, or a related role within the entertainment industry

+ Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis

+ Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

+ Ability to work independently and within team environment

+ Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

+ Experience with SAP is a plus

+ Prior experience within the Film/TV industry is a plus


The hiring range for this position in California is $104,800.00-$128,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
