A growing startup company in Irvine, CA is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst / FP&A Consultant to support the Finance team.

This is an approximately 20-hour-per-week consulting engagement expected to last 4–6 months, with the expectation to convert to a full-time / direct hire position.

Job Details

What You'll Be Doing

1. Support the full FP&A function: budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
2. Build and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting packages for leadership
3. Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to the Senior Director of Finance
4. Support monthly close activities in partnership with the accounting team
5. Prepare budget vs. actuals with clear narratives for senior leadership
6. Contribute to ad hoc strategic analysis around product launches, channel expansion, and go-to-market planning

What We're Looking For

• Senior Financial Analyst or strong Financial Analyst-level FP&A experience
• Solid financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills
• Strong Excel required; Power BI or similar BI tool experience preferred
• ERP experience (SAP, Oracle Fusion, NetSuite, or similar) a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred

Nice to Have

• Big 4 or public accounting background
• Healthcare, life sciences, medical device, biotech or pharma industry experience
