The Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Canadian finance team, reporting to the FP&A Manager. This role sits at the intersection of finance and sales, you'll be a key analytical partner to Sales, Marketing, and Operations, helping drive disciplined pricing decisions, rebate management, and clear visibility into customer and channel profitability. Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a financial business partner to commercial and sales leadership, providing analysis that supports go-to-market decisions, customer negotiations, and deal structuring
  • Build and maintain financial models that evaluate the margin impact of pricing strategies, promotional programs, and commercial initiatives
  • Own the end-to-end management of customer rebate programs - from accrual calculations and master data maintenance to variance tracking and reconciliation
  • Conduct ongoing margin analysis across products, customers, and distribution channels, surfacing trends and flagging risks or opportunities to leadership
  • Contribute to monthly business planning cycles by preparing performance reporting and working alongside Sales to contextualize results and forecast implications
  • Ensure revenue recognition and rebate accruals are handled accurately and in line with internal control requirements, in close coordination with the broader Finance team
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that give commercial stakeholders clear, timely visibility into business performance
  • Continuously look for ways to streamline and strengthen pricing processes, rebate workflows, and reporting infrastructure through better systems and automation
  • Take on ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as business needs evolve
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • CPA designation (or actively working toward completion) preferred
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or sales finance
  • Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or B2B environments
  • Advanced Excel skills with comfort working across large data sets and financial systems
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial insights for non-finance stakeholders
