Alliance Resource Group is partnered with a fast-growing, PE-backed consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer to find two financial analysts. The organization is scaling nationally and modernizing its finance tech stack. The team is high-energy, collaborative, and focused on data-driven decisions across commercial and plant operations.
The Opportunity
Were hiring two Senior Financial Analysts to support:
Commercial FP&A (sales reporting, pricing, promo/mix, SKU-level forecasting), and
Cost/Operations FP&A (COGS analysis, plant/operations support, capital projects).
Both roles report into FP&A leadership and are based on-site in Newport Beach.
What Youll Do
Own portions of the annual plan, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks.
Build and maintain dynamic financial models (SKU, revenue, margin, and/or COGS).
Deliver variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast/prior year) with clear drivers and insights that influence decisions.
Produce recurring dashboards and ad-hoc analyses for leadership; tell the financial story concisely.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Plant Ops, and Accounting to align plans with business priorities.
Support monthly close (actuals tie-out) and KPI reporting; help improve processes and controls.
Contribute to pricing analytics, product/channel mix, and/or cost optimization initiatives.
Assist with capital planning (business cases, ROI modeling) and special projects.
What Youll Bring
26+ years in FP&A/Finance or Business/Data Analytics (CPG/food & bev/manufacturing/retail strongly preferred).
Strong Excel modeling (lookups, pivots, scenarios; comfort with large data sets).
Experience with an ERP (NetSuite a plus); familiarity with planning/BI tools (e.g., NetSuite Planning, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau) is helpful.
Sharp business acumen: unit economics, margin drivers, pricing/promo, and/or manufacturing cost drivers.
Clear communicator who can translate complex analyses for non-finance partners.
High urgency, resilience, and comfort operating in a fast-moving, change-heavy environment.
Bonus: exposure to PE-backed settings and systems/process transformation.
First 90 Days What Success Looks Like
Ramp on data sources (ERP, data mart) and begin running reports with minimal oversight.
Establish credibility with Sales/Commercial and/or Plant Ops partners by delivering timely, accurate analyses.
Identify early process efficiencies; contribute to standardizing reporting and dashboards.
