We are looking for a full-time Financial Analyst needed for ProAmpac sector. Responsibilities include monthly closing, reporting, and supplier rebate entry. Report to Finance Operations Director. Requires 3-5+ years accounting experience, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Bachelor's in finance/accounting or equivalent experience. Chicagoland area preferred.
This position will perform financial analysis and general accounting functions for ProAmpac. This position will work closely with the Financial Operations team across the sector. Major areas of responsibility will be consolidating and reporting of monthly results, perform monthly closing activities for head office and corporate controllers’ group, perform supplier rebate entry. This position will report directly to the Finance Operations Director.
Compensation ranges from $110K to $125K depending on experience.
This is a hybrid opportunity with preference to be located in the Chicagoland area.
What You’ll Do:

- Support basic accounting functions (account reconciliation, journal entries, Head Office P&Ls month end close
- Actual Report maintenance and roll-forward
- Lead quarterly Bad Debt and Obsolete Inventory process
- Assist on Chargeback entries (Medical / Dental / Workers compensation and any other centralized accounting entries)
- Assist Head office teams in all accounting related activities (coding invoices, managing R&D invoicing)
- Support procurement activities: monthly tracking and reporting of supplier rebates
- Ad-Hoc operations finance hub projects (i.e. R&D Credits, Safety Awards, etc.)
- Assist Hub accountants and work in parallel with Corporate Controller to determine efficiencies, if required
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 3-5 + years of experience in accounting, month end closing
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Experience in general accounting
- Proficient in the use of computer hardware, spreadsheets, and word
- Solid working knowledge of financial processes and related manufacturing.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establish priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations)
- Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
- Self-confident, self-motivated, polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Chicagoland area preferred.
