POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Financial Analyst, will serve as a business partner to the Business Unit and Sales Directors. This role is responsible for continuously challenging the businesses to drive strong financial performance in terms of both sales growth and profitability. The Senior Financial Analyst should have an eye towards continuous improvement and proactively lead efforts to identify opportunities and implement solutions to enhance the financial performance of the businesses. A strong candidate for this role will be able to seamlessly move between delivering time-sensitive, tactical financial work (e.g. month end reporting and financial analysis, monthly forecasts, annual budget) and more high-level commercial support (e.g. annual strategic plans, pricing analysis, investment decisions). The individual must be highly motivated, have strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to communicate timelines and progress. In this role, it is critical to establish good working relationships with the commercial business teams, supply chain colleagues, and the finance & accounting teams. The individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills and possess strong attention to detail, while comprehending the bigger picture. The individual must be able to translate finance & accounting details for different audiences, including Balchems CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Partner with key stakeholders across the business unit to drive forecast and planning cadence in conjunction with monthly and quarterly outlooks and annual planning cycles

Lead thoughtful, timely month-end reporting and financial analysis for Business Units each month; be able to clearly tell the story of what happened, why it happened, and what we can expect going forward

Partner with Finance & Accounting teams to develop and improve financial reporting and processes to support analysis and reporting for existing and future products

Support Sales Directors in analysis of rebates, promotions and pricing

Perform routine and ad-hoc financial analysis utilizing financial modeling and business analysis techniques

Drive continuous improvement within the Finance & Accounting function, including improving the quality and reliability of relevant reporting and analytics; proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take the lead on implementing action plans

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields

Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling

Experience in ERP systems; Power BI and Microsoft D365 is a plus

Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Attention to accuracy and detail required

The suggested pay range for this role is between $115k - 125K with bonus potential and will depend upon experience.
