The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key business partner across the organization, supporting financial planning, operational analysis, reporting, and strategic decision making. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong financial acumen with exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to dive into both process-centric and strategic work.
The ideal candidate enjoys understanding how a business operates end-to-end, proactively identifies opportunities for improvement, and is equally comfortable validating numbers across 100-slide presentations as they are building ROI models or partnering with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, capital planning, and operational decision making
- Build, maintain, and improve financial models, dashboards, and Excel-based analyses used to support business decisions and ROI evaluations
- Review and validate financial information across presentations, reports, charts, tables, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Investigate variances, trends, and operational drivers by partnering with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including branch personnel, fellow analysts, and senior leadership
- Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders
- Assist in the preparation, refinement, and design of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial presentations for leadership
- Ability and interest in documenting all work activity to create desktop manuals
- Improve the quality, clarity, and visual presentation of reporting materials and slides
- Identify process improvement opportunities and proactively develop more efficient, scalable approaches to reporting and analysis
- Demonstrate ownership by independently identifying issues, pursuing answers, and driving work forward without needing constant direction
- Balance detailed execution work with higher-level strategic analysis while maintaining a positive, team-oriented attitude toward all responsibilities
- Support the continued development and enhancement of FP&A tools, reporting capabilities, and data processes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, building complex formulas, and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to identify inconsistencies, errors, and gaps in financial reporting
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn the operational and financial drivers of the business
- Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with employees at all levels of the organization
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to proactively identify needs and take initiative
- Ability to manage both detailed, process-oriented tasks and broader strategic assignments effectively
- Experience with FP&A or financial planning tools preferred (Workday Adaptive Planning a plus)
- Strong PowerPoint and presentation design skills preferred
- Ability and willingness to work in-office 3-4 days per week while remaining productive and accountable in a hybrid environment
