Client Overview:
Our client is a long-standing transportation organization looking to add a Senior Financial Reporting Consultant. This company is seeking an experienced professional who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$50/hr - $52/hr

Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Reporting Consultant must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Our client is seeking candidates with 5-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial reporting, cash flow statements, and working with auditors. This role will support the preparation and analysis of financial reports, assist with audit activities, and help ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Reporting Consultant:
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop and analyze cash flow statements and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with SEC and management reporting requirements, where applicable.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Partner with external auditors and internal audit teams to facilitate audits and provide required documentation.
  • Research and resolve accounting and financial reporting issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Operational teams to gather and validate financial data.
  • Perform financial statement analysis and identify reporting trends or variances.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives related to financial reporting and close activities.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Financial Reporting Consultant:
  • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Experience working within a large corporate or publicly traded company environment.
  • Strong background in financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
  • Extensive experience preparing and analyzing cash flow statements.
  • Proven experience working directly with external auditors during financial audits.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Financial Reporting Consultant:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Close and Consolidation System (FCCS), or related financial consolidation and reporting platforms.
  • Experience supporting SOX compliance and internal controls.
  • Public accounting background is a plus.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
