- 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, servicing, or commissioning fire alarm systems
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NFPA 70 (NEC), and local AHJ requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and system designs
- Experience troubleshooting control panels, wiring, and system networks
- Ability to perform startup and commissioning activities on commercial systems
- Comfortable working in field environments (ladders, lifts, ceilings, mechanical spaces, outdoor conditions)
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally to job sites

- 7+ years of fire alarm / life safety industry experience
- Experience with major fire alarm manufacturers (Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Bosch, Gamewell)
- Direct experience with Siemens fire alarm systems (Desigo, Cerberus Pro, XLS, MXL, Zeus)
NICET II (or higher) Fire Alarm Certification - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Experience leading commissioning efforts or managing subcontractors
- Review system designs, blueprints, and project specifications to determine system requirements
- Participate in pre-construction and pre-booking meetings to understand scope and customer expectations
- Coordinate installation activities with project teams and subcontractors
- Commission, start up, test, and validate fire alarm and life safety systems
- Troubleshoot system issues including wiring, controls, communications, and programming
- Support programming, device configuration, and system modifications when needed
- Maintain accurate project documentation and track project progress
- Conduct final inspections, system walkthroughs, and customer training sessions
- Interface directly with customers, inspectors, and AHJs during testing and acceptance
- Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations
