A growing nutrition and food science organization is seeking a Senior Food Scientist<\/b> to drive product innovation and formulation within the nutritional beverage and powder category. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, creativity, and leadership in developing science -backed nutrition products from concept through commercialization.
<\/p>
The Senior Food Scientist will oversee the formulation, optimization, and scale -up of nutritional products, ensuring the highest levels of quality, stability, and regulatory compliance. This role partners closely with R&D, Medical Nutrition, Marketing, and Operations to bring new products to market that meet business goals and patient or consumer needs.

Lead the development and optimization of nutritional beverages and powders<\/b> from concept through commercialization.
<\/p><\/li>
Partner cross -functionally with Medical Nutrition, Marketing, Sales, and Operations<\/b> to align product design with clinical and business objectives.
<\/p><\/li>
Research, evaluate, and apply new ingredients and technologies to advance product innovation.
<\/p><\/li>
Support leadership with technical and scientific expertise<\/b> during product and clinical development phases.
<\/p><\/li>
Manage vendor relationships to identify and source ingredients that meet performance, nutritional, and regulatory requirements.
<\/p><\/li>
Present scientific findings and company research at industry conferences and meetings.
<\/p><\/li>
Ensure intellectual property protection<\/b> for new formulations and processes.
<\/p><\/li>
Maintain compliance with GMP, food safety, and workplace safety policies.<\/b>
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
Required Qualifications<\/b> Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related field<\/b> (Master’s preferred; PhD or PharmD a plus). 5+ years of experience<\/b> in product development from concept to commercialization within nutrition, food, beverage, supplement, nutraceutical, or biotech industries.

Proven background in formulating and optimizing nutritional beverages or powders<\/b>.
<\/p><\/li>
Strong understanding of ingredient interactions<\/b>, processing impacts on nutrient stability, and sensory optimization.

Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, aseptic processing, and food safety standards.<\/b>
<\/p><\/li>
Demonstrated success in applied research and development, preferably in a small to mid -sized company environment.

Preferred Experience & Skills<\/b> Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)<\/b> or nutritional formulation software. Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and pilot plant operations.
