Job DescriptionParticipate in brainstorming with Sales & Marketing team to support development initiatives, including reformulation and new product developmentTeam up with Director of Operations to make sample products in the test kitchenArrange sample tasting for new and existing products on a regular basis. Collect feedback and suggestions for further modification if neededTest out raw materials and ingredients and provide the buyer with instant feedbackWork with the R&D Manager to prepare product specifications, formulas, technical reports and test run plansSupport QA to ensure product and packaging in accordance to design quality and to conduct troubleshooting on raw materials, final product and process if needed.Support Production to ensure production procedures meet the required technical requirementsKeep update of market developments and industry trends to lead the industryPerform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering and other related fields is requiredCandidates with culinary/chef experience are strongly encouraged to apply3‑5 years experience in R&D environment preferably in the USDA frozen food manufacturing industry. Previous recipe renovation and/or development experience preferredFamiliar with the techniques of making Chinese pastries including but not limited to dim sum, dumplings, buns, potstickers, and spring rollsBroad understanding of raw materials and ingredients in the local marketKnowledge of food and safety regulations including USDA, FDA, CFR, etc.Ability to work independently, in a team, and work under pressureAdditional InformationPay is between $75K-$100K/year plus 10% performance bonus.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Synear is an at‑will, equal opportunity employer.
