The work is already there.A well-established, employee-owned multidisciplinary consultancy in the Greater Hartford area has a significant and growing forensic engineering workload across the insurance sector and is now looking for a Senior Forensic Engineer to come in, lead on delivery, and ultimately build a team around them.The firm has deep roots across NY, Connecticut and New England, a strong existing client base of insurers, attorneys and property owners, and the infrastructure to support a senior engineer who wants to do the work they are good at without having to fight for it first.Whilst civil and structural engineering backgrounds are the primary fit, applications are welcome from engineers and architects across all disciplines with relevant forensic and insurance sector experience.WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ONForensic investigations into structural failures, water intrusion, roof damage, construction defects and building system failuresCause and origin analysis for insurance companies, law firms and private clientsCatastrophic loss investigations including storm damage, hurricanes and floodsStructural assessment of residential and commercial propertiesExpert report writing and defensible findings for insurance and legal clientsDeposition and expert witness supportPremises and walking surface investigationsBuilding and growing a forensic engineering team as the division expandsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORBachelor's degree in Engineering, Master's preferredMinimum 8 years engineering experienceAt least 2 years of forensic engineering experiencePE licence or R.A preferredExperience working with insurance companies and law firmsStrong analytical, field inspection and technical report writing skillsDeposition or expert testimony experience is beneficialHighly motivated and able to manage multiple projects independentlyWHAT IS ON OFFEREmployee-owned with a genuine path to shareholder statusA ready-made client base and significant existing workload to step straight intoA platform to build and lead a forensic engineering team as the division growsBi-annual salary reviews and bonus paymentsFull-time or part-time consideredSalary $120,000 to $180,000 depending on experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
