Description

The Sr. Fraud Data Analyst will work with Fraud & BSA management as well as Information Systems Data Analysis team to help unlock the power of our data and convert it into actionable insights.  Must be able to source and package complex data from multiple disparate systems, translating it into key insights with minimal assistance between analyzing the data and interpreting/communicating the results.  

Here’s what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:

What You’ll Do :

  • Utilizing system insights, be able to anticipate or quickly react to changing fraud schemes by adjusting rules or other parameters
  • Ability to write, test, and publish fraud detection rules on a cross platform basis leveraging identified fraud trends to help minimize member’s exposure
  • Serve as a liaison to user communities and SME groups for key financial crime vendor platforms
  • Gather and analyze data in support of business cases and proposed projects 
  • Provide scheduled and ad hoc statistical analysis and summary reporting to management 
  • Serve as team SME assigned to projects where Fraud & BSA are determined to be key stakeholders  
  • Create and maintain business intelligence reports and delivery systems and create, maintain, and    enhance regular reporting deliverables  
  • Proatively analyze data from a variety of sources to inform decision making  
  • Scrub data to ensure accuracy of reporting  
  • Quickly and accurately deliver analysis, constantly exceeding customer expectations.  
  • Develop insight to data, review findings with business partners, and provide superb customer service through clear and concise communications as well as complete documentation
  • Present key findings and recommendations to Risk Management leadership and to DCU senior management when appropriate 
  • Mentor and develop technical skills and accumen of other Fraud & BSA team members as directed by management        

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field  
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional data analysis experience
  • Some exposure to fraud detection or financial crime platforms preferred 
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning and Articial Intelligence (ML/AI) concepts is a plus  
  • Knowledge of advanced SQL, query optimization and stored procedures
  • Strong data analysis & business skills  
  • Knowledge of data visualization and predictive analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau)  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft tools (SSIA, SSAS, SSRS)  
  • Knowledge of analytic approaches and methods (reporting, modeling, optimization)  

Location: Marlborough, MA | Chelmsford, MA 

Target Compensation: $93,000 - $111,000

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8a-5p
