Senior Freight Coordinator

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Freight Coordinator to manage daily transportation operations and coordinate with carriers, 3PLs, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track FTL, LTL, and small parcel shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Manage carrier/3PL communication, pickup scheduling, delivery updates, and PODs.
• Resolve transportation issues including missed pickups, delays, damages, and reroutes.
• Monitor carrier performance, costs, shipment volume, and lane activity.
• Prepare and maintain Excel reports, Power BI dashboards, and presentations.
• Analyze transportation data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Support weekly/monthly transportation performance reviews.
• Ensure SOP, billing, compliance, and documentation requirements are followed.
• Coordinate international export shipments and related documentation when needed.
• Manage carrier claims and support supply chain projects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation.
• Experience with FTL/LTL and small parcel carriers.
• Experience working with 3PLs, warehouses, or distribution operations.
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP, OMS, and/or TMS systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to work onsite in NYC 2 days per week.
