Senior Front-End Engineer (React / Next.js)

Location: Dearborn, MI

Hybrid Schedule: Onsite Monday through Thursday

Employment Type: Full-Time Contract, W2

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Front-End Engineer to join a collaborative product development team focused on building modern, scalable, and user-centric web applications. This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences, solving complex business problems, and leveraging modern front-end technologies to deliver high-quality enterprise solutions.

You will work closely with product owners, UX designers, architects, and back-end developers to design, develop, test, and deploy responsive web applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable front-end applications using React and Next.js.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, user pain points, and desired outcomes.
• Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces that provide exceptional user experiences.
• Create prototypes, mockups, and interactive designs to support product development initiatives.
• Develop reusable components and maintain consistency with enterprise design standards.
• Implement automated UI and end-to-end testing using Playwright.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to accessibility standards.
• Partner with architects and development teams to align with enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and continuously improve application quality.
• Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and development best practices.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot to improve productivity and code quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 6+ years of software development experience.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with:

• React

• Next.js

• JavaScript/TypeScript

• HTML5

• CSS3

• Experience developing enterprise web applications.

• Strong understanding of responsive design and modern UI/UX principles.

• Experience with automated testing using Playwright.

• Knowledge of accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with monorepo architectures.

• Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience.

• Experience with state management solutions such as:

• Redux Toolkit

• Context API

• Zustand

• React Query/TanStack Query

• Experience with Next.js App Router, Server Components, and modern routing patterns.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

AI Experience Required

Candidates should have a solid understanding of basic AI concepts and practical experience using AI-assisted development tools for at least six months.

• AI-assisted code generation
• Test creation and automation
• Code review support
• Documentation generation
• Development productivity enhancements
