Senior Frontend Engineer

Our client, a leading innovator in web3 interoperability, is seeking a Senior Front End Engineer to join their dynamic team. They are advancing the state of web3 interoperability by building a universal modular router chain and expanding the network. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the decentralized web and work for a very exciting early start-up in NYC that has already received over $ 4 million in seed funding and is headed up by notable former engineers from Uber,  . 

Our client is at the forefront of blockchain technology, establishing the industry-standard transport layer across all chains. Their protocol combines a novel consensus engine, zero knowledge technology, and modular IBC to create the most efficient and scalable IBC routing solution.

Compensation range: 200,000-300,000k + equity & benefits

Candidates must live in NYC area(Manhattan office) and be open to working hybrid or in-person. 

**Role Details:**

You will join the core blockchain engineering team, focusing on User Interface and building the company's presence. You will apply your experience in web2 on both OSS work around IBC and the core protocol. Experience with web3 and blockchain is a strong plus but not explicitly required. We are just looking for a very strong front-end engineer.

**Responsibilities:**

- Using React and TypeScript, focusing on the UIs of an OSS dashboard for IBC, and other specific ones.

- Implementing initial prototypes and proofs of concept, and taking them all the way to production interfacing with developers building on the future standard networking layer of web3.

- Focusing on improving developer UX through the dashboard.

- Maintaining integrations with our work on an OSS IBC-SDK and other tooling.

- Maintaining a robust suite of tests to ensure that the UI functionality of our products is of the highest quality.

**Requirements:**

- Degree in Computer Science or related field.

- 5+ years of Frontend and/or Full Stack development utilizing HTML5 and JavaScript.

- Experience with React or similar interactive web UI libraries.

- Experience mentoring and helping junior engineers grow.

- Experience working with distributed development and engineering teams.

- Exposure to start-up or scale-up environment.

- Interest in infrastructure, crypto, DeFi or willingness to learn quickly.

- Strong communication skills and teamwork

- L6 engineering experience level.

- Experience and interest in working on developer-facing dashboards.
