Job Title: Senior Fuel Handling and Dry Storage System Engineer

Location: Remote

Pay Rate: $52-$85/hr

Employment Type: 12 month contract to hire

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Senior Fuel Handling and Dry Storage System Engineer for an advanced nuclear energy company which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in designing and operating spent fuel handling and dry storage systems looking to further their career in nuclear fuel handling and advanced reactor development.

• Design and develop spent fuel pool and dry cask storage equipment and systems
• Create design documentation including drawings, calculations, specifications, and design basis documents
• Lead design reviews and evaluate thermal, seismic, structural, and nuclear analyses
• Oversee fabrication, delivery, and vendor coordination for fuel storage equipment
• Support licensing activities and interface across design disciplines

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• 5+ years of work experience in engineering with demonstrated expertise in mechanical systems and nuclear fuel handling equipment design
• Previous experience with nuclear reactors, nuclear fuel handling systems, or similar high-performance systems design
