Role Overview
A rapidly growing AI technology company is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale critical systems powering AI workflows, operational tooling, document processing pipelines, and customer-facing platforms.
This role offers full-stack ownership across backend services, infrastructure, databases, workflow orchestration, and frontend product experiences. The ideal candidate is highly execution-oriented, comfortable moving quickly within startup environments, and experienced building scalable systems in production.
You will work directly with founders, customers, and product teams to ship impactful features, improve operational efficiency, and help shape the technical direction of a fast-scaling platform.

Key Responsibilities
Full Stack Product Development
Build and scale backend services using Python, FastAPI, and TypeScript
Architect and develop React frontend applications and operational interfaces
Create intuitive product experiences supporting AI-powered workflows
Design systems that support high-throughput document processing and automation
Backend & Infrastructure Engineering
Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas and queries
Build and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure
Orchestrate workflows using Temporal and related systems
Develop APIs, real-time services, and data processing pipelines
Support production scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency
AI Workflow & Automation Systems
Build AI agent integrations and human-in-the-loop workflow interfaces
Develop document ingestion and real-time processing systems
Improve transparency and usability of AI-powered operational tools
Support automation systems used by operations teams and enterprise customers
Collaboration & Ownership
Work directly with founders and customers to ship impactful features quickly
Own projects end-to-end from architecture through deployment
Contribute to engineering standards, scalability, and platform reliability
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, operations, and customer teams
Requirements
5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong experience with:
- TypeScript
- React
- Python
- PostgreSQL
- AWS
Ability to architect complex frontend state management systems
Strong database design and SQL optimization experience
Experience working within high-growth startup environments
Strong execution mindset with focus on shipping and iteration
Comfortable working onsite in San Francisco
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating AI APIs and AI workflow systems
Background with document extraction or processing systems
Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or enterprise workflow platforms
Startup or venture-backed company experience
Interest in high-ownership environments with strong equity upside
Experience building scalable operational tooling
Compensation & Benefits
Avg Salary: $210,000–$285,000
Equity Range: 0.25%–0.6%
