Senior Full-stack Engineer
The partner is a start-up focused on data-centric AI (DCAI), providing algorithms/interfaces to help companies (across all industries) improve the quality of their datasets and diagnose/fix various issues in them. We develop next-generation DCAI algorithms that we release publicly as open-source software as well as enterprise SaaS products with interfaces for data scientists/engineers to effectively improve their data quality and produce more reliable ML models. While many companies can help store/manage data or develop ML models, there exist few solutions today to improve the quality of existing data, which is the core asset of the modern enterprise.
Job Summary
The Senior full-stack engineer will develop Pioneer novel software systems for the rapidly growing field of data-centric AI. Our tools enable data scientists and engineers across all industries to effectively diagnose and fix issues in their datasets, thus improving the quality of their businesss core asset.
Candidate Profile
You enjoy shipping clean, readable and reusable code. You are comfortable working in a Hybrid work team, and open to working for a couple of days each week from the Office in Mission District, San Francisco. You are excited to use technology to have a positive impact on the world as a whole.
Core Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development of ground-breaking software systems that cater to the data-centric AI landscape.
- Contribute to the creation of tools empowering data scientists and engineers to identify and resolve issues within their datasets, thereby enhancing the core asset quality of their businesses.
- Tackle challenges across the entire stack, leveraging your expertise to build highly scalable and distributed solutions that meet the evolving needs of the company.
- Architect and implement scalable and distributed solutions that can efficiently handle the increasing complexity of data-centric AI applications.
- Work across the whole stack, from UI to backend, end-to-end, building highly scalable and distributed solutions.
- Drive the development of new features that align with the evolving business objectives and project demands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of existing features and functionalities.
- Follow industry best practices, coding standards, and contribute to code reviews to ensure the reliability and maintainability of the software
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
- Collaborate with the engineering and design teams, contribute to the definition of specifications for new features, and own the development of those features
- Proactively identify and solve bottlenecks; fix bugs and performance issues
Skills and Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing full-stack web apps shipping code to production
- Experience in our tech stack of React, JavaScript, Python, Flask
- Computer Science degree from a top university (MIT, Ivy League, Stanford, UC Berkeley etc)
- Prior experience at a fast-growing startup or top tech company
- Prior experience working with data scientists and ML engineers a big plus
- Proficient with code versioning tools (Git)
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
Contract Term: Full Time
