Job Overview:

• Job Title: Senior Full-Stack .NET Modernization Developer

• Duration: 8 Months (High potential for extension)

• Employment Type: Contract

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday on-site; mandatory in-person attendance for key milestones and meetings. Must be physically located in GA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the modernization of mission-critical applications by transitioning legacy ASP.NET solutions to modern .NET 8+, modern APIs, and Azure cloud services.

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures to reduce technical debt.

• Build and evolve API-first integrations and cloud-native solutions using Azure App Services and Azure Functions.

• Own the SQL Server platform, including data architecture, performance tuning, data migration, and platform modernization.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate testing and release management.

• Develop and maintain React-based UI components as a core part of the modernization roadmap.

• Integrate third-party services and internal APIs while cleanly documenting all integrations.

• Provide production support, own root-cause analysis, and maintain application documentation and deployment runbooks.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of professional .NET development experience, including C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.

• Proven, hands-on experience migrating legacy ASP.NET applications to modern .NET (6, 7, 8, or 10).

• Production SQL Server experience involving stored procedures, T-SQL tuning, schema migrations, and data cleanup.

• Hands-on Azure experience with App Services, Function Apps, deployment pipelines, and configuration management.

• 5+ years of software delivery in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) environments using ADO or GitHub.

• 3 years of React experience, specifically building components within an existing application.

• 3 years of experience with Power BI or SSRS reporting development.

• 3 years of experience with government, healthcare, or public-sector systems, understanding compliance, auditability, and data sensitivity.

• 3 years of familiarity with ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

• 3 years of exposure to Azure Agentic AI services or the integration of AI-driven features in production applications.

• 3 years of experience with middleware platforms such as Boomi or MuleSoft.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to .NET 10.

• Background working with PII data and the security protocols required to protect it.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience demonstrating similar depth.
