Our Opportunity: The Retail Web Technology (RWT) organization leads the development and maintenance of Schwab''s premier digital platform for retail clients. Our team is seeking a talented Software Engineer Senior who embraces being a technical leader and has a passion for using state-of the-art web technologies to build compelling web applications.

As a Software Developer Senior, you will be a self-starter who collaborates effectively, mentors teammates, and delivers high-quality code. You will operate in a highly collaborative environment and contribute to building robust, scalable solutions that deliver measurable client value.

What you have

Software Engineering Practices:

  • Articulate intricate technical architectures, trade-offs, and project risks into digestible, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders, product managers, and executive leadership
  • Align developers directly with product managers, QA, and business stakeholders during backlog refinements and sprint planning sessions to validate needs early and ensure mutual understanding

Core Engineering Skills:

  • 8+ years of full-stack web development experience
  • Strong experience with C#/.NET Core
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, and TypeScript
  • Experience with SPA architecture and responsive design
  • Familiarity with RESTful services and API design
  • Knowledge of OAuth2, SAML, JWT authentication frameworks
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery models
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in designing modular, future-ready applications optimized for [AWS/Azure/GCP], capable of handling growing workloads with minimal technical debt.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML into applications (recommendations, automation, personalization)
  • Familiarity with Generative AI (LLMs, chat interfaces, summarization)
  • Understanding prompt engineering.
  • Knowledge of Responsible AI practices (fairness, privacy, transparency)
  • Familiarity with telemetry and analytics platforms to drive data insights
