The firm manages multiple investment vehicles and has built a strong track record of creating value through operational improvement and strategic growth initiatives. With continued expansion, the firm is seeking to add a Senior Fund Accountant to the team.
Position Overview
The Senior Fund Accountant will support the accounting, reporting, and operational activities of the firm's private equity funds and related investment vehicles. This role will work closely with internal finance leadership, fund administrators, auditors, and investment professionals to ensure accurate financial reporting and investor servicing. The ideal candidate will have prior fund accounting experience and a strong understanding of private equity fund structures.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review quarterly and annual fund financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Maintain fund general ledgers and oversee investment transaction accounting.
Assist with capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and capital account maintenance.
Coordinate with external fund administrators, auditors, and tax providers during reporting cycles.
Review portfolio investment activity, cash reconciliations, and fund performance reporting.
Support process improvement initiatives and assist with ad hoc projects for senior leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4-8 years of accounting experience within private equity, fund administration, asset management, or public accounting.
Strong knowledge of partnership accounting and private equity fund structures.
Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and investor reporting packages.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred but not required.
