A leading private equity fund services firm is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its growing Connecticut team. This position offers a blend of fund accounting and client-facing exposure, supporting private equity and venture capital clients across the full fund administration lifecycle.
The role provides strong visibility into fund operations, financial reporting, capital activity, and investor communications while working closely with senior leadership and external clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support a portfolio of private equity and venture capital funds across day-to-day accounting and operational activities
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly NAV packages, capital call notices, and distribution calculations
Assist with quarterly and annual financial statement preparation and investor reporting deliverables
Maintain fund general ledgers, reconciliations, and partnership allocations
Coordinate with internal accounting, investor services, and reporting teams to ensure timely deliverables
Support client communications and respond to investor and ad hoc reporting requests
Track reporting timelines and assist in meeting fund deadlines
Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with workflow documentation
Participate in client calls and collaborate with senior managers on fund-related matters
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3 6+ years of private equity or venture capital fund accounting experience
Candidates from public accounting with private equity, venture capital, or asset management audit experience are encouraged to apply
Strong understanding of partnership accounting, fund structures, and LPAs
Experience preparing fund financial statements and investor reporting packages
Advanced Excel skills required;exposure to Investran or CRM systems is a plus
CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
