GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Wyoming Game and Fish is seeking to fill multiple Senior Game Warden positions statewide. These roles include enforcing wildlife laws, managing wildlife resources, resolving wildlife-human conflicts, and conducting wildlife depredation investigations. Senior Wardens represent the agency in daily interactions with the public and participate in required training.

Qualifications
PREFERENCES/AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Wyoming State Law requires competitive testing (exam) for wildlife law enforcement positions. Background check, polygraph, psychological evaluation, and fingerprinting are required prior to appointment.
Agency requires that candidates have a Bachelors degree in wildlife management, range management, biology, zoology, ichthyology, or other closely related fields. Other bachelors degrees may be considered with at least 20 hours of wildlife-related coursework, as evidenced by required transcripts.
Must have a valid drivers license.

1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Biology) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Game Warden
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Applicant must possess POST certification through the Wyoming Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission or an equivalent certification through another state. Previous law enforcement experience with a lapsed certification may be considered, provided the applicant can obtain a current Wyoming POST certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Biology) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Game Warden
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Applicant must possess POST certification through the Wyoming Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission or an equivalent certification through another state. Current senior game warden vacancies are located in Lusk, Torrington, Wheatland, W. Cheyenne, E. Cheyenne, Medicine Bow, Mountain View and Green River. This recruitment may also be used to fill additional vacancies throughout the state.
Please note: Housing accommodations are not provided for positions located in Green River or East Cheyenne.
