Geotech engineers
We are a globally recognized infrastructure consulting and engineering firm is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its Sacramento team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to some of California's most significant water and civil infrastructure programs, supporting projects that have a lasting impact on communities across the state.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, project leadership, and client-facing experience while working alongside multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure challenges.
What You'll Do
- Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for major infrastructure projects
- Support the delivery of complex programs involving dams, levees, tunnels, pipelines, conveyance systems, and related facilities
- Provide technical oversight and quality review of engineering deliverables
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients throughout project execution
- Assist with project planning, risk assessment, budgeting, and scheduling
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team
- Support business development efforts and help strengthen client relationships
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; California PE strongly preferred
- Experience supporting large-scale civil, water, transportation, or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical analysis, design, and construction support
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
