Job Title: Senior GIS Support Analyst
Location: Avenue Brooklyn, New York
Type: Contract - Hybrid
Rate: $65/hr on W2
Job Duties:
Provide development and technical support (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3) for ArcGIS and ArcFM-based enterprise GIS systems and applications.
Develop minor enhancements and fixes using Python, AngularJS, ArcGIS JavaScript API, and .NET (C#).
Support Con Edison Landbase applications, including new development initiatives and troubleshooting requests.
Deploy ArcGIS Enterprise components, including Portal and Server, and administer ArcGIS Server sites.
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and proactive issue identification.
Publish GIS services and manage user roles, privileges, and access controls.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by end users of enterprise GIS applications.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including server support, security, database administration (DBA), and other technical groups.
Provide regular ticket status updates and progress reporting to client subject matter experts (SMEs).
Share best practices, lessons learned, and technical guidance with support teams.
Participate in rotational support coverage, including flexible hours between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM EST and weekend coverage as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
• 5-10 years of experience administering, supporting, and developing ArcGIS applications. • 5-10 years of experience administering and supporting ArcFM applications. • Hands-on development experience using Python, AngularJS, ArcGIS JavaScript API, and .NET (C#). • Experience deploying ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal and Server) and administering ArcGIS Server sites. • Strong experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and service optimization. • Experience publishing GIS services and managing user roles and privileges. • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve end-user problems. • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across infrastructure, security, and database teams. • Ability to understand technical requirements, support operational teams, and communicate status clearly to client stakeholders.
Desirables:
• Utility industry experience, particularly supporting electric, gas, or energy GIS environments. • Experience with Windows Server administration and support. • Experience using FME Suite for GIS Landbase activities. • Strong documentation skills and ability to contribute to operational knowledge sharing.
