Were looking for a Senior Designer to join our talented creative team and help bring our brands aesthetic to life across a variety of channels, from catalog to social media.
About the Role
As a Senior Designer at Pottery Barn, you will play an essential role in conceptualizing and executing design strategies for a range of projects, including digital landing pages, emails, social media, and more. Youll work closely with our VP of Photography and Creative Directors, collaborating on design concepts, creating inspiring mockups, and ensuring all creative assets are captured flawlessly on set. Your passion for design, photography, and interior styling will be key in elevating our creative output, especially for our collaboration and seasonal holiday projects.
Responsibilities
Design Concept Development:
Create and present design concepts, including mood boards and inspiration images, for various channels such as digital landing pages, email, catalog, and social media.
Make product and propping suggestions to help merchandise a product category or a merchandising idea to help push the creative execution.
Collaborate with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams to develop cohesive and visually impactful designs that align with Pottery Barns brand aesthetic.
Design concepts to include site, email, catalog, and social (stills and video).
Product Collaboration & Seasonal Holiday Projects:
Support and help execute design concepts for Pottery Barns collaboration and seasonal holiday projects, ensuring that each project has a unique, inspiring visual identity that connects with the target audience.
Work closely with the team to deliver timely and high-quality creative assets for all aspects of the collaboration.
Act as a primary creative project manager for each project, ensuring all milestones are calendarized and deadlines are met.
Work closely with Creative Pagination Manager and PIP Asset Coordinator to ensure pagination for each spread is fully flushed out before planning design and photo, as well as ensuring all PIPS have been accounted for.
See each collaboration project through from beginning to launch across all channels.
Asset Creation:
Design mockups and final assets for print and digital materials, ensuring consistency and brand alignment across all channels.
Prepare visual content for digital, email, catalog, social media, and other marketing platforms.
Create & Manage Shot Lists:
Create shot lists for marketing images as well as Product Information Page (PIP) Photography for skus that are included in each Collaboration and each Seasonal Holiday.
Develop wire frames for marketing images and map out image placement prior to photography. Placements to include Catalog Spreads, Email, Social Post, and Site Content Rich Shop Path.
Build out shot lists for sku level imagery for each associated project and manage shots through the photography process, including approving final image selects for the product pages.
On-Set Support:
As needed, assist in the creative direction of photo and video shoots, ensuring all assets (images, props, and set details) align with the concept and are captured to the highest standard.
Work on set with photographers, stylists, and other team members to develop and refine visual narratives.
Creative Development:
Support the Creative Director in evolving creative concepts from the initial stages through to final execution, ensuring that all designs meet brand standards and are executed with precision.
Participate in feedback sessions and refine designs based on input from internal stakeholders.
