  • We are seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer with expertise in analog and mixed-signal circuit design to develop complex electronic circuit card assemblies (CCAs) for high-reliability embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hardware design, signal integrity, high-speed interfaces, PCB development, and system verification, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and verify complex analog and mixed-signal circuit card assemblies (CCAs) for embedded electronic systems.
  • Design and analyze analog interface circuits for FPGA and microcontroller-based systems supporting protocols such as PCIe, SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, DDR, Ethernet, ARINC, and MIL-STD-1553.
  • Perform design, simulation, and verification of high-speed interfaces with a focus on Signal Integrity (SI).
  • Execute complete hardware development activities, including component selection, schematic capture, PCB design support, performance analysis, simulation, and design verification testing.
  • Support hardware integration, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic modules and subsystems.
  • Partner closely with PCB layout and packaging engineers to ensure manufacturable, high-performance board designs.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation, including schematics, specifications, test procedures, reports, drawings, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive product improvements to reduce cost, improve manufacturability, enhance reliability, and increase production yield.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to manufacturing personnel and mentor junior engineers.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and support product development activities.
  • Support legacy product sustainment, component obsolescence management, and reverse engineering initiatives.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience in analog and mixed-signal hardware design.
  • Expertise in designing FPGA and microcontroller interface circuitry.
  • Experience with high-speed digital interfaces and Signal Integrity analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with component selection, schematic capture, PCB design support, simulation, hardware verification, and board bring-up.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Experience reviewing engineering documentation and supporting product lifecycle activities.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Siemens (Mentor Graphics) DX Designer.
  • Proficiency with HyperLynx for Signal Integrity analysis.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC design practices and lightning protection.
  • Experience with high-voltage power supply design.
  • Digital and mixed-signal board design experience.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout review and manufacturing support.
  • Experience in Aerospace, Defense, Avionics, or other high-reliability embedded hardware environments is highly preferred.
