In this position, you will:
• Scrutinize bid specs and layouts to derive comprehensive, competitive estimates.
• Conduct precise quantity takeoffs from construction blueprints.
• Determine project outlines and requisite workforce roles.
• Ensure project compliance by evaluating DBE involvement.
• Identify potential construction challenges and innovation openings early in the process.
• Oversee pre-bid interactions and maintain open channels with clients.
• Assemble and assess project bid proposals and timelines ($1M–$35M).
• Prepare and submit complete project bid packages.
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to junior estimators.
Preferred skills include:
• 4–7 years of experience in civil construction estimation.
• Educational background in construction or relevant fields.
• Familiarity with DOT protocols.
• Proficiency in estimation software, such as HeavyBid.
