Location: Northern New Jersey w/ Regional Travel

Pay: Up to $55.00 per hour based on experience/qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Heavy Equipment Technician / Mechanic to join our team, out of northern New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys diagnosing complex equipment issues, performing hands-on repairs, and mentoring the next generation of technicians.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems on heavy construction equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, fluid changes, and minor diesel engine repairs
• Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Travel to customer job sites within the assigned region as needed for equipment service, repairs, and operator training
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards
• Provide customers with guidance on equipment operation and maintenance best practices

Qualifications

Required

• **7+ years of heavy equipment repair experience, **across the construction, drilling, foundation, crane, mining, or rental fleet equipment industries.
• Strong electrical diagnostics experience including reading schematics and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Strong hydraulic troubleshooting and repair experience.
• Experience with diesel engines and preventative maintenance.
• Familiarity with CAN bus and PLC troubleshooting knowledge.
• Prior experience training or mentoring technicians.
• Demonstrated communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• US Citizen / Permanent Resident with valid driver's license.
