The Concert Operations team is seeking a dynamic Senior House Manager. This role leads front-of-house operations for iconic spaces like the Berklee Performance Center and Boston Conservatory Mainstage, ensuring exceptional, safe, and welcoming experiences for patrons, students, and performers alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Management: Serve as the primary front-of-house manager for major performances, coordinating logistics with promoters, production managers, and security while acts as the single point of contact during events.

  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and mentor a team of approximately 50 student ushers and the Senior Usher Team, supporting student growth and maintaining a collaborative workplace culture.

  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, manage emergency response procedures, and maintain familiarity with ADA standards to guarantee an accessible environment for all guests.

  • Operations & Tech: Build show info sheets, manage ticketing scanners, oversee merchandise setups, and utilize digital tools (Workday, Slack, When2Work) to streamline venue workflows.

Required Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience in theater operations and house management, with a solid grasp of venue maintenance and guest services.

  • Proven supervisory skills, with a strong interest in mentoring student workers.

  • Exceptional calm under pressure and expertise in crowd management and emergency protocols.

  • Tech-savviness, including experience with database management (such as FileMaker Pro) and scheduling software.

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays aligned with the exciting performance calendar.
