Episcopal Homes of Minnesota has proudly served seniors for 130 years in St. Paul's Midway neighborhood. Our vibrant campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Home Care services. Residents enjoy access to amenities including a fitness center, pool, pub, theater, and gourmet dining.

We are currently hiring a Senior Housing Community Manager to oversee the daily operations and resident experience of Cornelia House and Seabury. This position plays an important role in creating safe, welcoming, and well-maintained communities while building strong relationships with residents and supporting their independence, dignity, and sense of belonging.

Wage: $55,000-$65,000 /yr DOE

Schedule: Day (8:00am-4:30pm or 9:00am-5:30pm)

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Cornelia House and Seabury.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, families, and visitors regarding housing and community-related matters.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with residents while maintaining a visible and approachable presence within both communities.
  • Support resident independence, dignity, inclusion, and meaningful engagement.
  • Encourage resident-led activities, committees, volunteer efforts, and community initiatives.
  • Listen to resident concerns and feedback and ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution.
  • Maintain regular communication with residents through meetings, community updates, written communication, and individual conversations.
  • Manage occupancy through waitlist management, leasing, resident onboarding, unit turnover, and move-in and move-out processes.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and monitor building conditions.
  • Partner with maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure work orders and preventative maintenance are completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor safety, security, and emergency preparedness within both communities.
  • Coordinate vendor services and service contracts as needed.
  • Serve as an advocate for residents and connect them with available Episcopal Homes services and community resources.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, service providers, and agencies that support older adults.
  • Facilitate resident meetings, community forums, and resident leadership groups.
  • Ensure compliance with HUD, Fair Housing, MHFA, landlord-tenant, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, certifications, leases, compliance documentation, and required reports.
  • Conduct file audits and oversee certification and recertification processes.
  • Process rental payments, monitor delinquent accounts, process invoices, and support accounts payable activities.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monitor occupancy, revenue, expenses, and other key housing performance measures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, housekeeping, culinary, nursing, home care, rehabilitation, life enrichment, and administrative teams.
  • Respond to urgent resident or property concerns as needed.

What We're Looking For:

  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in property management, senior housing, affordable housing, resident services, healthcare, community-based services, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing and landlord-tenant regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and property management software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
  • Commitment to serving older adults with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Property Management, Human Services, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with senior housing, affordable housing, HUD housing, or supportive housing programs preferred.
  • Experience with HUD, Section 8, PRAC, or other subsidized housing programs preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with mediation, facilitation, community engagement, or conflict resolution preferred.
