Pay Range: $85,000 to $110,000 per year

Location: Centennial, CO (in office) and project sites as needed

Reports to: Director, Human Resources with a dotted-line report to the Senior Vice President of the assigned Region

Job Summary

 
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to operational and business leaders, aligning human resources initiatives with organizational objectives. This role provides guidance and expertise in employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, talent development, compensation administration, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. The Sr. HRBP acts as a trusted advisor to leadership while supporting a positive workplace culture and driving employee engagement across assigned business units.  

 
Responsibilities 

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support operational and organizational goals.  

  • Coordinate and deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new employees including gathering required documentation, system setup and access, new hire orientation, and ongoing onboarding support. 

  • Advise managers and employees on employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, and policy interpretation.  

  • Support performance management processes, including coaching, goal setting, development planning, and performance improvement plans.  

  • Collaborate with leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, organizational design, and talent management initiatives.  

  • Analyze workforce metrics and trends to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.  

  • Support compensation and classification activities, including job evaluations, pay recommendations, and equity analyses.  

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements where applicable.  

  • Partner with internal recruiters and other managers to support recruitment efforts. 

  • Assist with change management initiatives, organizational growth efforts, mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring activities.  

  • Facilitate leadership coaching and employee development programs to strengthen management effectiveness.  

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and help foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.  

  • Participate in policy development, process improvement, and HR project implementation.  

  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and business information.  

  • Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field or equivalent experience. 

  • Working knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and HR best practices. 

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to business objectives. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (HR/F&O), UKG Pro (payroll and benefits administration), iCIMS (recruiting), and Power BI and Excel (reporting). (preferred) 

  • Experience supporting construction, transportation, or other field-based operations. (preferred) 

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish to support Spanish-speaking employees and applicants (preferred)

Physical Requirements 

  • Primarily working in an office environment with frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment. 

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed. 

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally. 

  • Ability to travel periodically to project sites, offices, and company locations including occasional overnight travel. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through electronic communication methods.
