Description North America Stores (NAS) is looking for a solution-focused, organized, self-starter to join our People Experience & Technology (PXT) team as a Senior HR Business Partner. NAS is Amazon's largest consumer-facing business, encompassing a broad portfolio of product categories, services, and technology organizations that serve hundreds of millions of customers. As a Senior HRBP, you will be embedded within a dynamic leadership team, serving as a strategic partner who shapes the people strategy in service of business objectives. In this role, you will partner with senior leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth, drive talent effectiveness, and build a culture of innovation. The Senior HRBP must operate with strong business acumen and high autonomy, translating complex business priorities into actionable people initiatives while maintaining a hands-on approach and engaging effectively with professionals at all levels. In this strategic role, you will partner with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that drive organizational excellence and cultivate top talent across your client group. You will bring strong analytical skills to translate business plans and goals into human resource capabilities, help leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations, and drive accountability for critical people initiatives including workforce planning, org design, employee relations, and culture. Key job responsibilities Strategic Partnership - Collaborate with senior management to develop HR solutions aligned with business objectives and organizational transformation goals - Lead organizational design initiatives and workforce planning to support evolving business models and strategic priorities - Drive talent strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent in a competitive, fast-paced environment - Analyze workforce data and business metrics to optimize performance, identify trends, and recommend systemic improvements - Partner with the business to lead talent reviews focused on succession planning, employee growth and development, and organizational health priorities Leadership Development - Provide executive coaching to strengthen leadership capabilities and management effectiveness - Coach business partners in career development, leadership effectiveness, and management practices - Guide managers in change management, employee development, and navigating organizational transitions - Develop and implement comprehensive people plans and solutions that deliver measurable results Organizational Effectiveness - Drive innovative employee engagement initiatives that sustain a high-performing, inclusive work environment - Lead compensation planning and total rewards strategies to remain competitive in key talent markets - Leverage data and organizational health metrics to surface critical people insights and inform leadership decisions with clarity and candor - Partner with the central HR Partner organization to effectively enable managers, address employee relations matters, and drive consistent outcomes - Lead or contribute to cross-team and cross-organizational NAS PXT projects and goals, representing your client group's context in enterprise-wide HR initiatives Required Competencies - Experience in managing organizational change and transformation in complex, multi-business environments - Strong consulting skills with ability to influence across technical and business teams at senior levels - Excellence in written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate complex people insights clearly to diverse audiences - Advanced business acumen with understanding of retail, e-commerce, or technology business metrics - Track record of successful project management in complex, matrixed organizations - Ability to adapt to rapid change, operate with ambiguity, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment - Experience with data-driven HR practices and a proven track record of influencing through analytically grounded recommendations Basic Qualifications - - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field - - 5+ years of progressive HR experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role - - Demonstrated expertise in performance management, change management, and employee communications - - Experience partnering with and coaching senior leaders and managers, with strong talent assessment capabilities - - Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives with demonstrated ability to deliver results in ambiguous, fast-paced environments - - Proficiency in MS Office tools and HR Information Systems Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree or above in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field - Experience coaching and mentoring at the management level - Experience in e-commerce, digital products or entertainment industries - Experience leading and transforming highly effective organizations - Experience assessing management and executive talent - Experience with AI/ML technologies - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
