Senior HR Generalist

Location: West Side of Indianapolis, IN
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience
Reports To: Director of HR
Direct Report: 1 HR Team Member

Position Overview

Our nonprofit organization is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support HR operations, employee development, and compliance initiatives. This role will oversee one direct report and serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• 
  
• Manage employee relations, performance management, investigations, and policy administration.
• 
  
• Coordinate leave administration, workers' compensation, and HR records management.
• 
  
• Develop, facilitate, and track employee onboarding, training, and learning & development programs.
• 
  
• Identify training needs and support leadership development initiatives.
• 
  
• Assist with recruiting, employee engagement, and retention efforts.
• 
  
• Supervise and mentor one HR team member.
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
• 
  
• 4+ years of progressive HR experience.
• 
  
• Experience in HR compliance, employee relations, and training/development.
• 
  
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
