Senior HR Operations Specialist (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Bellevue, WA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $45/hour

About the Opportunity

A growing technology company is seeking a Senior HR Operations Specialist to support the full employee lifecycle and drive operational excellence across the HR function.

This role will work closely with employees, managers, recruiting teams, and HR leadership to ensure smooth execution of onboarding, employee records management, compliance activities, HR systems administration, and employee support programs.

The ideal candidate brings experience from a high-growth technology startup environment and enjoys building scalable processes while delivering an exceptional employee experience.

As part of a collaborative HR team, this individual will also assist with office operations and front desk support responsibilities when needed.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data
  • Support employee inquiries related to HR policies, programs, and procedures
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and new hire orientation programs
  • Generate HR reports and support workforce analytics
  • Assist with HR compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Support implementation and optimization of HR systems and processes
  • Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and business leaders on HR initiatives
  • Maintain HR documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts across HR operations

Employee Experience & Engagement
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and workplace programs
  • Coordinate onboarding experiences and employee communications
  • Assist with internal events, recognition programs, and culture-building activities
  • Partner with leaders to deliver a high-quality employee experience

Office Operations & Front Desk Support
  • Provide occasional front desk coverage and visitor support
  • Coordinate office-related logistics and employee services
  • Assist with office events, meetings, and hospitality arrangements
  • Help manage office supplies, incoming deliveries, and workplace requests
  • Support general office administration activities as needed

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of HR Operations experience
  • Prior experience working in a technology startup or high-growth technology company required
  • Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle administration and HR best practices
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR reporting
  • Understanding of employment compliance requirements and HR audits
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Experience supporting office operations, workplace services, or employee experience programs is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • PHR or SHRM certification is a plus
