The Space and Intelligence Division provides professional services to the US Space Force, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community, and NASA. The Space Systems Group (SSG), part of SPA’s Space and Intelligence Division, provides timely and objective assessments and recommendations integrating technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis. We focus on our key clients in the Space community including the US Space Force’s Space Systems Command (USSF/SSC), one of the three designated Field Commands under USSF. We work tirelessly to provide integrated solutions based on information and communications throughout the chain of command.  We provide clear and consistent analysis and recommendations which are aligned to strategic and leadership goals while balancing the ability to  execute on time and on budget within the technical communities. SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Military Personnel Support Specialist.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Military Personnel Support Specialist (MILPERS) provides military personnel administration and executive support to U.S. Space Force and national security space organizations.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the folllowing:


Military Personnel Administration

  • Provide senior-level military personnel support for officer and enlisted personnel actions.
  • Process and track evaluations, awards, decorations, fitness reports, assignment actions, and personnel record updates.
  • Support in-processing, out-processing, PCS coordination, readiness tracking, and duty status reporting.
  • Maintain personnel trackers, suspense systems, and organizational manning reports.

Executive & Organizational Support

  • Coordinate scheduling, meetings, task tracking, and leadership reporting activities.
  • Prepare executive correspondence, memoranda, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Coordinate with military personnel centers, servicing organizations, and external mission partners.
  • Maintain records management compliance for military personnel documentation.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, Department of the Air Force, and U.S. Space Force guidance.
  • Support process improvement initiatives focused on workflow efficiency and accountability.
  • Handle sensitive personnel and operational information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting military personnel administration or related DoD personnel operations
  • Experience supporting DoD, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, or joint military organizations
  • Familiarity with military personnel processes, evaluations, awards, readiness reporting, and administrative workflows
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, communication, and task management skills
  • Ability to report to designated work location in El Segundo, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting U.S. Space Force or national security space organizations
  • Experience supporting senior military leadership or headquarters staff environments
  • Familiarity with military personnel systems and records management processes
