Team Description:
The Workforce Technology team within Enterprise Technology leads the planning, implementation, and sustainment of technologies supporting seamless and unique workforce experiences for The Company.

As a part of the product organization, the Workday HCM team is looking for an experienced and dynamic resource to provide support to existing HR technology solutions. This Senior HR Technology Engineer will serve in a contract role as a Workday subject matter expert, providing support to a 16-month project focusing on the adoption, configuration, and optimization of AI initiatives within our Workday ecosystem. Your expertise will be instrumental in solving complex problems, mentoring team members, and negotiating innovative solutions. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to guide and influence others.

You will be responsible for bridging the gap between functional business needs and AI-powered solutions, enhancing workflows in Workday Core HR, Absence, Security, Compensation, Performance, and Recruiting functions. The ideal candidate will move beyond traditional system technologies and have proven experience collaborating with configuration, integration, and AI project teams.

What You Will Do:
- Partner with functional and technical Workday project teams to deliver emerging AI/ML enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Workday administration, functionality, maintenance, and operational effectiveness while supporting complex, time-sensitive AI/ML project efforts.
- Partner with business stakeholders, HR, IT, and technology teams to identify AI and automation opportunities and translate requirements into configurable system designs.
- Create and maintain an AI adoption roadmap aligned with organizational goals while adhering to Responsible AI practices and data governance requirements.
- Implement approved enhancements in sprint cycles and support HR systems transformation, deployment, and post-production hypercare.
- Manage change control, confirm stakeholder requirements are met, and provide timely status updates, testing support, and test script management.

Must Haves (Years of Experience, languages, programs, tools, etc.):
- 8+ years of related HR Technology business experience
- AI Mindset: Experience or strong familiarity with AI/ML concepts, particularly in HR automation
- Collaborative, work as part of a team in a constructive way with demonstrated ability to build partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into creative and logical technical solutions
- Ability to bring prior experience into projects and advise on best practice
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, integrated team environment with frequently changing priorities
- Strong sense of ownership and follow through to completion; keeping team informed on progress

Nice To Haves:
- Experience in a "Business Systems Analyst " role bridging Technology and HR teams.
- Configuration expertise in specific Workday modules required: HCM, Security, Absence or Core/Advanced Compensation, Performance and Recruiting
- Previous experience deploying Workday Assistant or Workday Talent Optimization modules.
- Experience with and understanding of SAP HR
- Experience using ServiceNow or JIRA service management tools
- Experience using qTest or other testing management tool
- Strong experience working on Teams or other collaborative groups

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, IT Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Preferred: Workday Pro Certification; specialized AI and Machine Learning configuration badges.
