Senior HR Project Manager - HR Transformation / HRIS

Industry: Global Manufacturing
Location: US East Coast preferred/ EU citizens (must accomodate EST timezone)
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract
Rate: Up to $80 per hour

The Opportunity

A global manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Senior HR Project Manager to lead complex HR transformation and HR technology initiatives across its international HR ecosystem.

You will manage programmes involving HRIS, payroll, HR process transformation and organisational change, working closely with HR leadership, HRIS, Payroll, IT, Finance, Legal, Shared Services, external vendors and business stakeholders.

The successful consultant should have previous experience delivering HR technology or transformation programmes involving at least one of the following:

  • SAP SuccessFactors
  • UKG
  • ADP

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex HR transformation and HR technology projects from initiation through implementation and stabilisation.
  • Establish project governance, delivery plans, milestones, budgets, resource plans, risks and dependencies.
  • Coordinate HR, Payroll, HRIS, IT, Finance, Legal, Shared Services and external technology vendors.
  • Manage multiple project workstreams, stakeholder groups and competing priorities.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis and solution-design workshops.
  • Coordinate data mapping, integrations, testing, deployment readiness and vendor deliverables.
  • Lead steering committees, executive reviews and project-status meetings.
  • Develop stakeholder communication, change-readiness, training and adoption plans.
  • Ensure a successful transition from implementation into ongoing operational ownership.

Must-Have Experience

  • HR Project or Programme Management - 7+ years
  • HR Transformation / HRIS / Payroll Programmes - 5+ years
  • SAP SuccessFactors, UKG or ADP - previous implementation or transformation experience
  • Stakeholder and Vendor Management - 5+ years
  • Change Management and Business Process Transformation - 5+ years

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within a global or complex multinational organisation.
  • Previous manufacturing-sector experience.
  • Experience managing multiple HR technology platforms or integrations.
  • Strong understanding of HR operating models, Shared Services, Payroll and HR processes.
  • Experience using Smartsheet, Planview or similar portfolio-management tools.
  • PMP, Prince2, Agile or recognised change-management certification.

Candidate Profile

You will be a senior, delivery-focused project manager who can operate confidently with HR executives, technology teams, vendors and business leaders. You should be comfortable bringing structure to complex programmes, influencing stakeholders without direct authority and resolving delivery risks across multiple teams and systems.

Candidates located on the US East Coast are strongly preferred. Consultants based elsewhere must be able to provide significant working-hour overlap with US East Coast stakeholders.
