Responsible for monitoring local, state and federal laws and regulations for changes that impact the site. Collaborate with HQ HR team to execute changes as needed to stay in compliance. Identify areas of improvement within the HR Function and lead projects to implement new processes. Lead new employee recruiting and onboarding process: Pre-screen applications, request background checks, prepare and process new hire paperwork, conduct new hire orientations, and other related tasks as needed. Engage in the development of hourly employees through training, coaching, and mentoring plant employees for improved performance. Facilitate 30, 60, and 90 day reviews for the hourly operation employees. Act as backup for Human Resources Manager, exercising discretion and independent judgment with employee related matters.
