    Job Description

    Mission

We are seeking an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and excels at employee relations, workplace investigations, and leadership coaching. Reporting to the HR Director, this role partners closely with plant leadership and employees across the Large Parts Campus to foster a culture of accountability, respect, engagement, and compliance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable conducting investigations, resolving complex employee issues, coaching leaders through difficult discussions, and maintaining a visible presence on the production floor. This position requires sound judgment, strong business acumen, and the ability to balance employee needs with operational objectives.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Partner with plant leadership to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and policy interpretation.
    • Conduct and support workplace investigations involving employee complaints, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, policy violations, attendance issues, and workplace conflicts.
    • Travel locally as needed to address employee relations concerns, conduct interviews, gather facts, and support effective issue resolution.
    • Coach supervisors and managers on performance management, corrective action, conflict resolution, documentation, and employee development.
    • Maintain a visible HR presence by regularly spending time on the production floor, conducting line walks, and building relationships with employees and leaders.
    • Facilitate employee focus groups, listening sessions, and other feedback forums to identify workforce concerns and opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
    • Conduct fact-finding, document findings, assess risk, and provide recommendations that support fair, consistent, and legally compliant employment decisions.
    • Provide guidance on employment-related matters including ADA, FMLA, accommodations, leave administration, harassment prevention, and workplace conduct.
    • Identify employee relations trends and organizational risks and recommend proactive solutions to improve culture, engagement, and workforce stability.
    • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Safety, Quality, and HR teams on investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
    • Support recruiting, onboarding, performance review management, employee engagement initiatives, and other core HR processes as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Five or more years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or other fast-paced operational environment.
    • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and managing complex employee relations matters.
    • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including ADA, FMLA, EEOC, wage and hour, and other applicable federal and state requirements.
    • Proven ability to influence leaders, navigate difficult conversations, and balance business needs with employee concerns.
    • Excellent communication, interviewing, conflict resolution, and documentation skills.
    • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
    • Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications; Workday experience preferred.
    • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
    • Ability and willingness to travel locally between manufacturing facilities as needed.
    • Ability to work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment and spend significant time on the production floor interacting with employees and leaders.

    Desired Skills

We value professionals who embrace innovation and continuous learning. Candidates should demonstrate curiosity about artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, along with a willingness to adopt new tools and capabilities that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of the HR function.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
